Outstanding Site Supervisor Award

The Rollins Epidemiology Fellows thrive because of their supervisors at their health district sites. Ashley Deverell received the 2023 Outstanding Supervisor Award because she has gone the extra mile for her fellows, department, and community. Ashley leads by example; she takes time to develop a relationship with each fellow and staff. She focuses on their strengths and well-being. She consistently shows up for the fellows and goes above and beyond for the good of her staff and the communities that they serve!

Above and Beyond Award

The Above and Beyond Award recognizes those who have improved the work environment through exceptional positivity, creativity, or collegiality. Shelby Rentmeester has had the largest hand in helping our 50 fellows to-date get settled and succeed. She has been an outlet for fellows throughout periods of doubt and has continuously provided assistance for fellows in need of guidance. Shelby embodies what it means to work in public health and has been an incredible role model to the fellows.

Outstanding Site Supervisor Award

Our Fellows and this program thrive because of our health district partners. We really wanted to highlight one particular supervisor that has gone the extra mile for their fellows, department, and community. Dr. Amber Erickson from District 5-2 North Central in Macon really embodies the qualities that we want to celebrate in our supervisor colleagues and the fellows in her district and surrounding districts unanimously agreed.
