What excites you most about working in your assigned health district: I am excited to start a new role and accept new challenges at the Coastal Health District. I’m eager to expand my public health surveillance, data analysis, and community health skills.

What do you love most about epidemiology: I have always had a deep passion for epidemiology, infectious diseases, outbreaks, and public health prevention. The intricate interplay between pathogens, humans, and the environment has fascinated me since I first learned about Ebola in ninth grade. I love the ever-evolving nature of infectious diseases because it presents a constant challenge that fuels my curiosity and desire for scientific knowledge. Contributing to the health and well-being of populations, especially in my community, by applying epidemiological principles and implementing preventative measures is what I love most about epidemiology.
